DSCN1939 This month ERI welcomed two new interns to Geneva, Jordan Wren from Australia and Cathal Ó Fainín from Ireland. Their internships will be for 3 months.

Jordan is from Bacchus Marsh near Melbourne and is a past student of Loreto College in Ballarat where she first become involved in Edmund Rice camps. Jordan maintained her involvement with the Camps while completing her Bachelor of International Studies at RMIT university. She has a particular interest in refugee and asylum seeker issues and was a volunteer tutor with Edmund Rice Refugee Services for several years.

Cathal is a past student of Scoil Nersáin and Gaelcholáiste Reachrann on Dublin’s north side but has also been a ‘honorary student’ of St Josephs CBS Fairview where his father is Principal. He has accompanied students from St Josephs on an immersion to Zambia, has worked on the school’s summer program for students with special needs and has acted as an instructor in PE classes.

Cathal has completed a BA in International Relations and a Masters in Development at Dublin City University (DCU) and revisited Zambia in 2012 to work as a volunteer at a school in Kabwe.
