Brian Bond cfc is currently the Director of Edmund Rice International.
Brian was born and raised in Geelong, Australia where he received his primary and secondary education before joining the Christian Brothers in 1967. He completed his teacher training and obtained a Science degree from the University of Melbourne. He also holds a Diploma in Social Justice Studies from YTU, and has over 25 years experience as a teacher, Deputy Principal and Principal in Catholic High Schools in Australia.
More recently, before moving to Geneva, Brian had the responsibility of promoting social justice awareness across the Edmund Rice Network in his home Province and the co-ordination of the Edmund Rice International Volunteer Scheme for Australia and New Zealand.
Constantine (Tino) D’Abreu cfc is a member of the Congregation of Christian Brothers, in India.
He brings over 30 years of teaching experience in the classroom and as a teacher trainer as well as 20 years of leadership and administration in Christian Brother schools in India to ERI.
He holds a graduate degree in Science, a Master’s degree in Sociology and a B.Ed degree.
Over the past 20 years he has been actively involved in formulating policies and creating necessary structures to welcome economically marginalized students into fee paying schools, in keeping with the vision and charism of the Christian Brothers.
He welcomes the opportunity as an Advocacy Officer with ERI to work for the promotion and protection of Human Rights and the Environment in a bid to build a better world especially for all children.
Terry Dowling cfc entered the Brothers in South Africa in 1961, trained as a Science and Mathematics teacher and taught in Edmund Rice schools in Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Springs and Welkom (where he also served as Headmaster). He later taught in a rural Teacher’s College before being appointed to the Leadership Team of the Southern African Province and served as Province Leader. (1997-2002).
Terry then worked with refugees for a number of years while continuing to teach science. From 2011-2021 he was the Director of the Christian Brothers’ Eco-Spirituality Centre at Stellenbosch hosting many youth and adult groups, as well as individuals.
Terry has a love of the outdoors and a particular interest in the ‘care of the earth’ and the spirituality that underlies this.
Kevin Cawley cfc was born in Manchester , Connecticut, USA in 1947.
Kevin is Executive Director of the Thomas Berry Forum for Ecological Dialogue at Iona College. He has worked in educational ministry in a number of high schools as teacher, coach and administrator. He has served on the faculty and in administration at Iona College and in leadership in his religious community. Kevin currently serves at United Nations Headquarters in New York as the Main Representative of Edmund Rice International (ERI), and he produces a monthly newsletter for this organization on environmental concerns – Carbon Rangers/Ecozoic Times.
